Operation Christmas Child

Calvary Chapel supports Franklin Graham's Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas; Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. This ministry has sent these shoeboxes to over 160 countries!

Calvary Chapel Ridgecrest collected 128 shoe-boxes in 2020! It's never too early to pack a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child. Once your shoe box is packed, you can drop it off at the Church office. Our representative will then collect all of the donated boxes and deliver them to a regional center. These centers are open during National Collection Week (the week before Thanksgiving) each year. From the Regional center, the boxes are forwarded to a Processing Center where they are prepared for shipment to needy children around the world.
