Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did

1 John 2:6

Youth Ministry's Vision: Our vision is to lead the youth in our community to a lasting relationship with
Christ through teaching and discipleship so that they in turn will be able to make a lasting impact for
God within their own sphere of influence.
Mission Statement: By teaching the Word, we hope to equip the youth with the ability to effectively give a defense of their faith when confronted with worldly philosophies.  We also take seriously John's admonition that "Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did."  By modeling Christ, we hope to teach the youth how to live an effective life in Christ so that they may be an example to other people.
In support of this mission, we have adopted Psalm 27:3 as our mission statement.

Weekly Meetups

We have an active Youth Ministry with various meeting times that exist to help the spiritual training of Junior High through High School age students.

Sunday Morning 10:00am

Sunday Morning Fellowship is for 6th – 12th grade youth. It meets at 10:00am-11:30 am in the North Campus building at the same time of the Adult worship service and Sunday school services. The vision of this ministry is to build a solid apologetics foundation based upon God’s truth to help the youth stand against worldly philosophy and doctrine of deceit that attacks the young believer’s faith in Jesus Christ.

This service is a time for:
Worship (with the Youth Praise Band)
Bible Teaching (from God’s Word)

Gabriel Waliser

Youth Ministry Leader
I am married to my best friend Sarah and have three energetic and wonderful children, Aubrey, Levi and Maximus.  I currently am the Youth Leader at Calvary Chapel. I have served as the High school teacher at CC Ridgecrest from 2008 to 2013 and from 2021 to present. In August of 2021 I contracted COVID-19. As a result I ended up being hospitalized and ultimately put on a ventilator. Through God's grace I was able to get through that part after being out for 6 weeks. After that I found out I needed a double lung transplant. On December 3 2021 I was able to get a new set of lungs after a 16 hour surgery. If it wasn't for my savior and Him having a higher purpose in my life I never would have made it through. I love my life in service to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Monday Evening 6:30pm

In the North Campus building from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Dauntless is geared to those who are Junior High School age up through college age. The vision for the service is for the youth to conduct their very own service that is sensitive to issues and subjects that concern and minister to the very hearts of young believers.

This service will be a time of:
Worship (music, music, and more music!)
Bible Teaching (from God's Word - there is no substitute!)
Sharing (Testimonies, Life Experience, Dramatic Skits)
PRAYER! (Something all believers need more of!)
These services also provide an opportunity for our youth to invite their friends that may have spiritual needs that we can minister to and possibly unbelievers that we can share the love of Christ with.
Special Outings – Youth Ministries attends the following outings:
1. Harvest Crusade – this event usually takes place in July or August at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA. This is a 4-day evangelistic crusade put on by Harvest featuring Greg Laurie and a host of Christians Bands. The primary focus of this event is to share the gospel with unbelievers and afford them the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
2. Retreat – As the Lord leads, the Youth attend a 3-day Retreat once a year. Date and location are determined every year by the Youth Group.
3. Other local and travel outings are attended as determined by the Youth Group.
